Group Analysis, Staff Relations, and The Study of Dreams
In Bath & Wiltshire
Starting out as a clinical psychologist, I've worked as a psychotherapist and group analyst for over thirty years. Freiburg University in Germany was my alma mater when reading psychology. Following that I've trained in humanistic psychotherapy in Berlin and London. I'm a professional member of the Institute for Group Analysis (IGA) London and the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis College (CPJA), registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and a training analyst for the IGA.
During my London days I worked in a psychotherapy department of a teaching hospital, and in a therapeutic community for schizophrenic and borderline patients.
Since moving to Bath I've been the staff team consultant to a number of therapeutic communities, to the Aled Richards Trust in Bristol, an Aids centre, and to the West Berkshire Psychotherapy Service in Reading. I've also worked abroad, such as lecturing and running seminars at the Institute for Group Analysis in Heidelberg, Germany.
I've been a founding member of a regional group-analytic training in Bristol, Group Analysis South West (GASW). 'The Bath Practice for Group Analysis' was established in 1995.
